Anonymous Donor to the Lorrie Morris Nursing Scholarship

The Lorrie Morris Nursing Scholarship is named for Lorrine “Lorrie” Morris, RN, a 1948 graduate from the Sacramento Hospital Nursing Program. Lorrie Morris worked as an OB/Gyn nurse during her career and retired at the age of 72. She served on the board of the SCC Nursing Alumni Association for many years, and her fellow board members noted that “because of her spontaneous sincerity and good will to all, Lorrie was uniformly liked and admired by everyone.” She died in 2008 after a long illness. The scholarship was established by a longtime friend of Lorrie’s, who chose to remain anonymous.
