Clark and Paula Allison

Clark and Paula Allison

Clark and Paula Allison endowed this scholarship in loving memory of Paula’s mother, Jean K. Losey.

Jean K. Losey was born in New Jersey, but spent her childhood and college years in Tucson, AZ. Jean worked for Fresno Unified School District for over 30 years as an educator and principal with a passion for underserved students. She was very proud of leading and bringing the District’s first charter school to Fresno. Upon retirement, she also worked as an education consultant and even helped her granddaughters’ school in El Dorado Hills, Golden Hills, as principal for a couple of years while it was in transition. Children were her passion and true life’s work, whether they were her own or her students. Jean was a single mom and successfully balanced her impactful career with raising two daughters and being very involved in her grandchildren’s lives. She always had a heart for middle class kids from single parent backgrounds who made the smart choice to stay in their hometown and attend community college to save their family money while making a better life for themselves.
