Biology Faculty Scholarship 2026-2027
The biology department is honored to offer the Biology Faculty Scholarship in memory of Dr. Marybeth Buechner. Dr. Buechner was a beloved biology professor at Cosumnes River College from 1991 until 2008 when she left to serve as the Dean of Planning, Research and Institutional Effectiveness at Sacramento City College. As a biology instructor, she shared her love of learning and of the natural world with her students. Dr. Buechner was an inspiration and a mentor to countless students and colleagues.
