Dr. Colette Harris Mathews

Dr. Colette L. Harris-Mathews is a Cosumnes River College Emeriti Dean & Professor of Communication Studies. I am the Principal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant with Harris-Mathews Consulting. As a Sacramento native and Valley High alumnus, Cosumnes River College will always be a place I call home.  I champion student diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts by centering on closing opportunity gaps in education and business.  It is my goal that this scholarship assist a student to “Do Your Best”.  This scholarship is funded in the authenticity of my grandmother, Dannie Mae Boney, who never had the opportunity to receive a formal education, but always encouraged others to “Do Their Best”!
