Genevieve Brennan Nauman
Genevieve Brennan Nauman is a native Californian who spent her childhood in Sacramento near Sacramento City College. Her parents always told her and her sibling they were going to college and that college was Sacramento City College.
After graduating from Hiram Johnson High School, she attended Sacramento City College for seven semesters, and then her married her husband and became a military spouse and a mother of four sons. Being a military family, they lived in different areas of the United States. Not all the places had colleges that she could attend. However, the various places gave her an opportunity to learn about the people and the history of the area. When they lived in Riverside, CA, she attended Riverside City College.
After her husband left the Air Force, they returned to Sacramento, and she returned to Sacramento City College in the Spring of 1978. She attended Sacramento City College and California State University (Sac State) part-time, graduating in May 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting).
After graduating, she worked for the State of California as an Auditor. Now that she is retired, she is planning to return to Sacramento City College to study Geology. She became interested in geology during her travels to many unusual places in the United States and other countries.
