Joe Sjolund

ARC Charles Orth Veterans Scholarship.
This scholarship is in honor of Joe Sjolund’s father, a decorated disabled veteran, who served this country for over 30 years. Charles Orth served 23 years in the US Navy and Air Force achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He served honorably in the Korean and Vietnam Wars receiving the Korean, China , and Vietnam Service Medals, Army Commendation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, and others. Upon discharge, Charles used his GI Bill to pursue higher education, receiving his Associate of Arts from American River College and also his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Oregon State University.
