ARC Joey Lopes Memorial Scholarship.
Joe Lopez was a well known professional boxer. In 1985 he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. His family began thinking of ways to help him. In 1987 they started a golf fundraiser that went on all the way until 1992. People started reporting that they didn’t like golf but they still wanted to help. So in 1993 they started doing a crab feed to help support the Alzeimer’s Aid Society of Northern California.
