Joslyn Gaines Vanderpool

Joslyn Gaines received an A.A. from American River College and transferred to UC Berkeley and received a BA in Political Science in 1982. Thereafter she worked for the United States Congress and was a writer and editor covering political, women’s and minority issues for several organizations and journals. She also worked at Howard University and the University of New Mexico before returning to ARC. During her 18 year tenure as an outreach specialist she started a scholarship seminar program before retiring in 2019.
