PEO Chapter LD

P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization for women founded in 1869. The headquarters are in Des Moines, Iowa, with chapters across America and Canada. Our chapter, which is one of over 500 chapters in California, was organized in 1946. We are a dynamic group of women who believe in the importance of personal growth, and are dedicated to helping women pursue their educational goals.

Our mission statement focuses on educating women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and stewardship of Cottey College, a small 4-year college in Nevada, Missouri. Our motto is women helping women reach for the stars.

In addition to the six educational projects at the international level, there are many additional scholarships offered by the California chapter.
