Sayed Abdul Nafe Sadat
Sayed Abdul Nafe Sadat is a dedicated advocate for education, community empowerment, and social justice. As an immigrant student himself, Sayed understands the transformative impact of support and resources on one’s educational journey. He co-founded the English Language Learner and Immigrant Support (ELLIS) Club at American River College and served as its first president for nearly two years, creating a supportive community for immigrant and ESL students.
Sayed earned two Associate degrees from American River College before transferring to UC Berkeley, where he received a scholarship and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric with a minor in Creative Writing. He currently works as a Management Analyst with Alameda County. Inspired by the $2,500 Roy P. Luna Scholarship he received during his own journey, foundation.losrios.edu Sayed established the ELLIS Club Scholarship to assist ESL students in achieving their educational goals, embodying his belief in the importance of giving back.
