Sheri Spitaleri and Al Hulbert

Sheri Spitaleri and Al Hulbert

My name is Sheri Hulbert Spitaleri and I am proud to participate in the Cosumnes River College Scholarship program. My mother, Ann Hulbert, to whom the scholarship is named, was a strong advocate for education and giving a ‘hand up’ to others whenever possible. She was a proud member of the CRC Patrons Club and continued until her death in 2010.

I am a CRC Patron member and continue to support the efforts of the college. I am a native of Sacramento and attended Sacramento City College and went on to have a career in the jewelry industry. I have one son who attended CRC and graduated from Sacramento State. I believe that education should be available to returning students who want to better themselves in their career choice or to find a new path through learning.

Al Hulbert, my brother, lives in Bend, Oregon, where he retired from the local school district after a career as teacher, coach, and administrator. His wife, Claudia, retired from the school district’s Nutrition Services office. She and Al graduated from Oregon State University and her parents were both educators. Their daughters both graduated from college and earned master’s degrees. Education is extremely important to Al and his family, and they are proud to be co-donors for this scholarship in honor of our mother, and they are pleased to be of help to returning students.
