Tom Pactol Scholarship for Fermentation Science
After retiring from the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller, Tom Pactol followed his desire to explore the world of wine by enrolling in the FLC Viticulture/Enology Program. Tom was one of the first students to complete the program and actively assisted in program growth. Tom pursued a Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Level 1&2 Awards, as well as the WSET Sake Award. He was also a wine judge for the Folsom Foothills Winefest. This scholarship was established in his memory.

Qualifying Majors: Fermentation Sciences, including viticulture, chemistry, and nutrition.
