1) Must submit an essay (300-500 words) describing past and present community involvement, participation in ARC activities, and how the award will further the student’s education goals; 2) Two letters of recommendation required.
3) Must qualify for the BOG fee waiver, (student does not have to provide proof), the committee will verify BOG eligibility; 4) Those with the greatest financial need will receive top priority in the selection process; 5) Applicants must be making satisfactory progress toward a degree, but GPA shall not be considered as stand-alone criteria; 6) Scholarship will be paid in installments over two semesters; 7) Must be a resident of California; 6) Must have completed 24 degree-applicable units at the time of the award disbursement; 8) Must be continuing at ARC in the fall.

  2. In order to receive this scholarship, you must be continuing at ARC. Do you plan to continue your enrollment at ARC?
  3. Please provide the name and email address of someone who can provide a recommendation letter for you. They will receive a link to our recommendation form. A professor, high school teacher, or academic counselor are the best sources for letters of recommendation, and you should ask them in person. The person you are asking may have many students with your name, or not remember who you are unless you ask them in person. Letters from employers and volunteer organizations will also be considered. Letters from family members will not be considered.
  4. This Scholarship requires two letters of recommendation. Please provide the name and email address of another person who can provide a recommendation for you. They will receive a link to our recommendation form.
